Granny Dots Country Spot is set up in a warm and welcoming way, an ideal getaway for leisure travellers and jaded business executives.
Situated in the green hills of Agatha, above the tropical paradise of Tzaneen, you can relax in a serene country atmosphere, while enjoying fresh unpolluted air, still, starry nights and unbelievable hospitality.

This is the perfect spot snugly settled on a hillside amidst lush tropical greenery and overlooking the magnificent Wolkberg mountains range…an endless vista fading away into blue-hazed craggy cliffs, rolling hills and verdant forests…a view that stops the breath and squeezes at the heart.
Facilities
There’s a choice of six double rooms, each one individually and cheerfully furnished, all en-suite with ceiling fans, tea/coffee trays, toiletries, fresh flowers and heaters, hot water bottles and quilts for those chilly winter nights. Two of the rooms have self-catering options.
Farm breakfasts are substantial, made with locally grown produce and can be taken on the sunny patio in summer. There’s a huge log fire in the lounge with DSTV and numerous magazines, games and books for your enjoyment as well as a cosy pub for friendly get-togethers, pre-dinner drinks and a piano for impromptu sing-alongs!

Things to do in the area
Bird life is prolific and there numerous species of small game, which you may see, such as Bushbuck, Samango Monkey, Baboons, Duiker, Porcupine, Bush Pig, Pangolin, Civit Cat and Leopard Spoor has been spotted only 100m from the homestead!!
This is perfect terrain for cross country runners, mountain bikers and quad enthusiasts (bring you own). You can walk down to the dam – family pets will happily show the way, hike the Rooikat Trail which is practically on our doorstep or book a Willy’s Jeep trip up the mountain, with hosts Richard and Joyce, for champagne breakfast in enchanting places!
But if chilling out is your scene, then simply soak up the sun at the secluded pool and enjoy that spectacular view!
Our area has many attractions and adventures to experience and explore from misty mountain peaks, large indigenous forests and waterfalls down spectacular passes to the tropical paradise of Tzaneen. There`s hiking trails, 4x4 trails, biking and canyoning, golf courses, tennis and wonderfully scenic drives, nurseries and tea gardens where you can relax while enjoying scrumptious teas and light lunches.
There`s lots more to do ... ride an elephant, feed a crocodile, visit the ancient cycads at Modjadji and the Kruger Park is only 80 minutes away .... so why not stop over for a few days and discover it all for yourself!

Directions
Approximately 3.5 hours from Pretoria take R71 from Pietersburg down Magoebaskloof Pass. Turn right onto double lane, over Tzaneen Dam bridge, approximately 4kms - becomes single lane -R36 - at 3-way stop, turn right, 11kms to top, turn left - Letsitele Valley - after 1km turn right onto farm (gravel) road - follow Granny Dot`s/B&B signs for 3kms or phone for directions!
